I haven’t been posting on this blog for quite a while… okay, maybe I never really started. However the last 6 months made me realise how much writing and blogging means to me.
When I started my blog back in January it was actually part of my resolution (one of these everyone use to make). I’ve decided to do more of what I like and what makes me happy, a.k.a. Beauty and Make-up. I have always loved to play with different make-up looks and hairstyles, but my first year at university made me realize how much I was into make-up. Besides I began to read some blogs and started to love the whole blogger community, how everyone loves to share their tips and the encouragement is just incredible.
So when I started I’ve never imagined how time consuming this could be. Moreover, you have to be creative all the time and find the right words. So there I was, 21 year old girl thrown in the big blogger world surrounded by all these amazing bloggers. First I thought this non-writing phase was because of Uni, but I quickly realised that it wasn’t the real reason. I think I was intimidate (quite a lot) and was afraid that everything I would right down wouldn’t be good enough and that I wouldn’t do this community any justice.
Nevertheless, I stopped posting publishing my post I wrote and just never had the courage to post the drafts I created. It was just a few weeks ago that I took into consideration that every blogger has his non-creative phase and that I am definitely not alone with my fears. In addition, a blog isn’t only about the fame but it is mainly a bunch of people who love to write and are kind enough to share all their great experiences with the whole world.
I can’t promise that I will always write on a regular basis, but what I can promise is that I won’t stop writing (and hopefully publish all this drafts waiting around).
You may also have to cope with some changes here on NIJ (mainly design and layout changes), because I haven’t really figured out how my little hideaway should look. So please be kind.
P.S.: The picture above was taken back in March on my first visit to the beach. (Which I wrote a whole post about and never published)
