A walk down memory lane

This post wasn't really planned, but just having a little (an hour long) chitchat with my girls made me miss them and the city we made unforgettable memories, danced all night long and had the loudest laughter.

So I though I present you the city where I used to live and where I lived happily for over 2 years.
Aix-en-Provence is a small but lovely city in South of France where you can enjoy life and the french cuisine. It is a perfect city for students, especially if you don't like metropolises, there will always be somebody to go party with or just enjoy a drink at any café at any time.

I always loved strolling through the small alleys, popping into the cutest little shops, admire all the fountains and just pausing at Place des Cardeurs to enjoy a good Rosé in the sun (not recommended if it is 30°).

And if you wanted to escape the tourist on Saturday you can easily go to the closest beach (30 min drive) and enjoy the secret little spots the French Riviera has to offer. The water is always very clear and if you are tired of just lying around, there will always be some cute guys which whom you can play volleyball.

My favourite thing though are definitely the markets, but this is a story for another time and typing this down just makes me want to book the next train do go there.
Sitting here in Paris, and don't get me wrong I love Paris, I'm feeling a little bit nostalgic (that's what chitchats do). Because at the end of the day there will always be a part of my heart that belongs to Aix-en-Provence.
If you ever find yourself in France, I highly suggest to stop in Aix-en-Provence and to live that indescribable  feeling just Aix can give you.

Bisous, Marye
